Positioning system

Straddle carriers are essential to move containers in front of ship to shore cranes and trucks for example. Due to the great time pressure, optimal efficiency and security are very important. With a positioning system, the operator of a straddle carrier optimally positions the containers in the passageway under the ship to shore crane, so that he can lift the container in one straight line. Through two cameras to the left and the right of the straddle carrier, the operator sees exactly whether the containers are optimally positioned in the middle. This can be done very accurately, by means of the positioning line on the monitor and the lines on the leg of the ship to shore crane.
