Calibrated crane weighing system

Calibrated wireless weighing system for accurate and efficient weighing of underground and above-ground containers.

Info

The calibrated crane weighing system has been specially developed for the fast and reliable weighing of underground and above-ground waste containers. The system consists of a robust, compact weighing block mounted directly onto the crane boom. Thanks to wireless data transmission to the weighing indicator, vulnerable cables running along the crane boom are permanently a thing of the past.

While lifting the container, the system automatically determines the gross weight; during lowering, the tare or empty weight is established. The net deposited weight is then accurately calculated and transmitted wirelessly.

In partnership with Welvaarts, we offer this proven technology on the Belgian market. As the official Belgian partner, RDS provides comprehensive support: from installation to maintenance, repairs, and periodic recalibrations. This eliminates the need to travel to the Netherlands, ensuring fast service close to home.

Features

  • Wireless data transmission: No cabling along the crane boom, preventing wear and malfunctions.
  • Calibrated weighing system: Suitable for official and legally valid trade weighings.
  • Automatic two-point weighing: Determination of gross and tare weight during standard crane movement (lifting and lowering).
  • Flexible operation: Can be operated from the control platform, via the wireless crane remote, or fully automated.
  • The crane automatically indicates when the first and second weighings have been performed correctly, allowing the driver to focus completely on safe lifting.
  • Seamless integration: Direct data transfer to our online Kiloweb platform for centralized processing, analysis and billing.

Advantages

  • Reduced risk of malfunctions due to the absence of moving cables along the boom.
  • Time savings: No additional actions required; weighing takes place automatically during the normal loading and unloading cycle.
  • Optimal process analysis: Direct insight into collection data to optimize routes and adjust collection frequencies.
  • Accurate billing for waste based on actual deposited weight.
  • Full support for maintenance, repairs and calibrations provided by the experienced service team at RDS Weighing & Safety.
