The term ‘user’ refers to any user, whether natural or legal, who visits the site or communicates in any way with RDS Weighing & Safety. RDS Weighing & Safety undertakes to take all necessary measures to ensure that the processing of personal data take place in accordance with the law of June 30th, 2018 about the protection of natural persons with regard to processing of personal data and the regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and the Council of April 27th, 2016 on protection of natural persons concerning the free movement of such personal data and repealing directive 95/46/EG (i.e. General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or ‘AVG’). RDS Weighing & Safety is free to choose natural or legal persons who process the personal data of the site users at their request and in their name.

2. The processing of personal data

The use of the site may result in the collection of personal data. The processing of these data, in the capacity of RDS Weighing & Safety, is always in conformity with the GDPR and the law of June 30th, 2018. Personal data is processed by RDS Weighing & Safety, in accordance with the purposes listed below, via following methods: an automatic info/ quotation/ service request; the use of cookies; the registration form for the newsletter.

3. The purpose of processing personal data

In accordance with article 13 of the AVG, the purposes of processing personal data shall be communicated to the user of the site. The purposes are as follows: to provide an answer to the info/ quotation/ service request; to send out the offered newsletters; to gain insights concerning the traffic on the site; to offer the user the opportunity to join the customer database of RDS Weighing & Safety; if required by law, RDS Weighing & Safety will process personal data as well (e.g. personal income tax).

The user accepts that, while visiting and using the site, RDS Weighing & Safety gathers and process the following personal data: name; last name; address details; e-mail; phone number/ mobile phone number; the user’s question/ message; the user’s clicks on the site; IP-address.

6. Retention period of the personal data

In accordance with article 13, paragraph 2 of the AVG, RDS Weighing & Safety retains the gathered personal data only as long as is reasonably necessary to achieve the purposes for which they are processed. In all cases, this duration is no longer than 7 years after the last customer contact.

7. Recipients of the data and disclosure to third parties

Personal data can be shared with employees or suppliers of RDS Weighing & Safety to the extent that they provide reasonable guarantees regarding the security of the data and in so far as they cooperate with RDS Weighing & Safety for the placing of or the provision of their products/ services. In all cases, the recipients of the personal data comply with the content of this Privacy Policy. 8. Rights of the users of the site

Every message has to be accompanied by a copy of the user’s identity card. 8A Right of access In accordance with article 15 of the GDPR, RDS Weighing & Safety guarantees the right of the user of the site to access his/her/their personal data. The user of the site has the right to access these personal data and the information below: – the personal data in question – the recipients of the personal data RDS Weighing & Safety can require een reasonable fee on the basis of admistrative costs for the additional copies requested by the user of the site. When the user of the site submits the request in the paragraph above electronically, the data will be provided electronically and for general use, unless the user in question requests otherwise. The copy of the data shall be communicated within one month at the latest upon receipt of the request.

8B Right to revisions

RDS Weighing & Safety guarantees the right to review and delete the personal data to the user of the site. Incorrect, inaccurate or irrelevant data may be corrected or deleted at any time in accordance with GDPR article 16. The user of the the site will direct the request to RDS Weighing & Safety. In accordance with article 19 of the GDPR, RDS Weighing & Safety shall inform each recipient to whom the personal data has been provided of any revision of the personal data, unless such a revision turns out to be impossible or involves disproportionate effort.

8C Right to exchange

The user of the site has the right to enter the, in article 17 of the GDPR mentioned cases, as soon as possible the removal of his/her/their personal information.

When RDS Weighing & Safety has made the personal data public and is required to delete it on the basis of the previous paragraph, takes RDS Weighing & Safety, taking into account available technologies and the cost of implentation, reasonable measures. The two paragraphs above do not apply insofar as such processing was necessary: – the exercise of the right to freedom of information and expression; – to comply with a legal obligation to process under European Union law, or to perform a task in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority assigned to RDS Weighing & Safety; – the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims.

The user of the site is therefore requested to regularely consult the Privacy Policy to stay informed of any changes and adjustements.
