For long-term projects or operations in more extreme conditions, the VBO can be a suitable alternative to a fully steel version. The main difference is in the ride height (+55 or +60 cm), which provides more space beneath the weighbridge and better shields the load cells from mud and product buildup. With the appropriate base plates or prefab foundations, the weighbridge can also be installed on the existing roadway or a reinforced base, requiring only minimal on-site concrete work.
